Administrator
Dana Rabon Smith, RPh
Dana, a licensed North Carolina Adult Care Home Administrator, is also a licensed pharmacist in North and South Carolina and has practiced in retail, clinical and long term care settings. She has been a consultant pharmacist for 3 long term care pharmacies and has been a certified immunization pharmacist since 2011. She has partnered with and operated assisted living homes for the geriatric and mentally ill since 2000. She has been a preceptor for pharmacy and nursing students and is also approved by the Division of Health and Human Services as an Administrator-in –Training (AIT) Preceptor. She was designated as a certified dementia specialist in 2014 and serves as an Alzheimer’s Foundation Screener for dementia. Currently, Dana serves on two teams and leads a small group for her church, serves as a board member for the Elizabeth City Chamber of Commerce and Elder Help, Inc, a non-profit serving the elderly, disabled and families in a 5 county region. She was recently named Citizen of the Year 2017 by the Elizabeth City Cosmopolitan Club. She is devoted to helping the growth and advancement of her community.

Rhonda Boyd Todd
Rhonda is a nationally certified pharmacy technician and has worked with Ms. Rabon in pharmacy and assisted living settings for more than ten years. Rhonda has worked in retail and long term care pharmacy settings. She received nurse aide certification and has provided instruction through in-house nurse aide classes since 2011 as well as assisting with Alzheimer's training for staff.

We take pride in the fact that our staff in our special care/memory care neighborhood do not just simply meet state minimum requirements for training; it is Waterbrooke’s protocol that they must take a test to ensure they have retained the information and can exhibit and demonstrate proper approaches and techniques with our residents.

Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) are only hired if they are undergoing certification as a nursing assistant. Our Administrator is certified by the state to provide in-house training and continuing education for our staff and also provides 20 hours of training for medication technicians and CNAs working with our Alzheimer's residents in our memory care neighborhood. All department supervisors and staff are required by the administrator to be CPR and Wound Care Certified through the American Red Cross.
